Farmer's Market Saturday

This outing was inspired {again} by Our Kids Magazine where a Very Hungry Caterpillar storytime was advertised.  We made it to the Pearl Brewery to shop at the farmer's market (I got local honey, kale, and root veggies like rutabagas, carrots, and turnips) and then headed over to The Twig Bookstore for the storytime.

This storyteller was the most animated woman I've seen in a while...I'm not sure I'll be able to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar the same way ever again.  There was even a life-sized caterpillar for us to hug and take pictures with.
Laughing cause the Been wouldn't look at the camera no matter how hard I tried!
We ventured down to the Museum Reach end of the Riverwalk and played with some ducks and enjoyed the flowers and greenery.

Kayla fed them some of her Goldfish.

Although we have been experiencing beautiful spring weather with clear skies and light breezes, Saturday was muggy and overcast with a little drizzle.  It still turned out to be a beautiful day and I'm so glad we ventured out as a family!
